Regina O2 Sensor 900 1993

Picked up the Walker titania universal and have to splice in. The PO put in a Bosch zirconia (two white and one black wire) and I spliced in a generic Bosch (two white and one black wire). The titania has a red, black and white wire. Black to black at the spade connector, red to + and white to the other at the plug connector. Do I just have to check for battery voltage at the connector terminals to figure where to splice in the red? Does it matter? If it does, I probably should have went with the direct fit cause I'm going to have to strip the insulation to trace. The sensor came with three crimps and insulators for the splice. Do the insulators shrink with a hair dryer? Never done this before so sorry for the question.

Thanks, Bob
