All puns aside, here is what happened:

The second day with the new tires (Yokohama Avid H4s) and valves on the car one tire leaked down to 21 psi, but held air after my wife filled it back up (she was in Gainesville running errands). However, the tire seems to have turned nearly 180 degrees on the rim!! I was a bit shocked at this and asked my wife if she had it fixed in G'ville, she said no. Neighbor who is retired General Manager of Toyota dealership and used to own a tire company said that it does happen from time to time, he has seen it many times. No big deal. Just get it remounted and rebalanced.

BTW I could tell it turned on the rim because it had, originally, been match mounted, and the match marks (both were very near each other) were aligned with the valve stem. Came back from Gainesville with the marks nearly 180 deg. opposite valve. The rim it is on is the one that just got repaired and refinished. If I recall, the bead area is like the outside lip, slick as greased ice. That probably had something to do with it.

The (new) valve was also sticking slightly open, so that probably caused the drop in pressure.

It also does have some slight out-of-balance vibration now, so off to G'ville today to get it remounted and rebalanced.
