No Start electrical 91 240 200

ok guys,

I posted awhile ago about how my mother changed a fuse while the car was running and then the thing wont start. Well....I finally got home from school to take a look at it. First, looked in the haynes, and that said to jumper the starter solenoid to see if it works and go from there, which was my idea in the first place.

So....
Pulled off the blue/yellow wire off of the starter solenoid (which I assume is the key-ignition-park safety switch assembly) and run a straight 12V to it from the battery. No go. Turn the ignition on just to be sure. No go. No crank.
Checked main power to the motor-all good, 12V. Charged the battery also.

So I'm thinking starter motor. Am I right here, or is my procedure all wrong? Also, is the thing internally grounded? Because I only see 3 wires that run to the thing, 2 red (battery and alternator) and the blue/yellow wire. I find it odd that changing a fuse with the car on, despite the high flow of current, would fry the starter solenoid.

Anywho, if you find a light blue 240 in the lake, uh, tell the insurance company I didn't do it :)
