hi all. my friend and i installed the 03-72L in my 85 244ti today. luckily he has done a shipyard of tranny swaps cause it was my first. its not very fun, well i cant tell you exactly how good it is till tommorow as the kickdown cable was about one half inch to long and didnt let the kickdown feature work properly. so in the a.m. i will put a new cable on. and i will post back in case someone is interested. oh yes he did most of the work and i seemed to slow him down a bit. one thing i noted is the previous owner ran a hot wire to the o.d. solenoid because the relay was bad, i wonder if this was a bad idea, we wired it up to a new relay it works fine.
