Okay. I have a 1985 Volvo 240DL Sedan with an automatic transmission. Shortly after the wiring harness was replaced, I started hearing a knocking sound similar to what would be heard if fan blades were hitting an object. The knocking was so violent, that it shook the entire car. The car would lose power no matter how hard I pressed the excelleration. If I idled the car while it was in gear, it would cut off, so I would have to quickly put it into neutral and then try to quickly shift into gear in order to excellate. Eventually, the car stopped running altogether. If you are familiar with these symptoms, please tell me what the problem may be and how I may solve it.
