Is there a kickdown cable on a 1992 960 wagon?
When driving under normal conditions, my car acts like it is quickly shifting between two gears (only third/fourth shifting). If I give it more gas and the rpm gets close to 3000, the shifting is fine.
I took the car to my local shop and asked to have the kickdown cable adjusted. The local shop (not a european car place) said that my car had no kickdown cable. The manual mentions a kickdown cable, but the mechanic gave a pretty good explanation about some Volvos having them and others not having them. He stated he didn't have the expertise to fix the problem I had, so I'm looking for a new garage.
