I've got an '87 760 Turbo that seems to be getting sick. As the car was maintained immaculately by the folks who owned it before me, I'd like to keep it that way.

SO: my issues. When I had my emmissions done, the emissions guy said that there was gas in the exhaust--meaning, it wasn't burning all that it was taking in. Which didn't surprise me, because I've been consistently getting 16 MPG, no matter how I drive & no matter the temperature. I've cleaned the throttle body and my plugs are good. The injectors are clean--no carbon deposits, no blockages that I know of. Also, I cleaned the breather box and all hoses involved at my last oil change.

But there are oil deposits on the inside of the intake manifold, which brings me to my next question: when I cleaned the TB, I ran the car with the hose that goes to the TB detached, and saw smoke coming out of it. That explains the deposits in the manifold, as well as the smoke in the exhaust when the turbo spools on accelleration. But what's causing it? Where's the leak?

And what's causing my crappy gas mileage/gas in the exhaust? I'm in college, and gas prices continue to rise...I can't afford to have an inefficient car.

*edit* oh--also, I should add that the car actually runs fine. Starts consistently, though stalls once--never more--on a cold start, usually, and the idle is rough much of the time (once in awhile it's steady at 1000).
