B234F Distributor Cap Removal? 700

Have an '89 740GLE B234F 16V with 201k. There is not enough clearance to the firewall to remove the distributor cap. At 90k I paid the dealer to change it. At 140k I changed it while I had the head off for gasket replacement.

The dealer cracked the exhaust while jacking the motor to do it the first time.

What is the best/easiest way to change the distributor cap on this engine?
