Since I've heard so many stories about how the Air Mass Meter is destroyed by the heat directed into the airbox by that big snakey metallic accordian hose that runs from the exhaust to the air intake box, wouldn't it be best to just remove the hose and be done with it. Here in the southern states, it's never less than 60 degrees or so, so I can't really see any reason to utilize the thing in the first place. Any dissenting votes, or wisdom that strays from my naive thinking on this issue?
Thanks always for the help.
Sincerely,
