1977 245 Electric fan replacement for the old mechanical one 200 1977

It took me an hour and a half to remove the four 10mm bolts that holds the fan and fan clutch to the front pulley. I just wanted to check the timing belt and look for leaks.
So I really dont want to put that #@#^$ - #$!@^ fan back on.

Is there anyone who has converted the mechanical fan and clutch to a thermostatically controlled electric fan?
And if so how did you do it and what model car did you take the electric one off of?
There has got to be some old Saab, Volvo, VeeDub or Audi out there that has just the right deal, with some metal fabrication of course.

Thanks for your help

Steve
