so I have diagnosed this for almost a year now and believe it must be the answer.....
my 245 spends most of the year in Wyoming where it isnt very warm, it doesnt start very well when hot, but runs really good....as soon as I get it to a place with temperature above about 74 deg.F it will display all symptoms of vapor lock or percolation:
driving down the highway it has the occasional stutter
accelerating hard makes it buck
and the warmer it gets outside, the worse these symtoms are-
I would just like someone to verify that this is a bad accumulator scenario, I am almost certain this is why it cranks a lot to start hot...but I just cant believe that I can drive it hundreds of miles in cold weather and it never has vapor problem; as soon as its hot outside - it'll buck just trying to leave the parking lot even if it is cold engine
oh yeah : 1980 245 b21f kjet manual many many miles
thanks brickboard!
