Bolt size & type for child restraint in a 1996 945? 900 1996

We want to fit the latches for our rearward-facing child restraints, but the bolts we have don't fit the threads of the holes in the seatbacks of the wagon. (1996 945GLE)

Any ideas as to the type of bolt required?

Metric or imperial, thread pitch? diameter?

Any help much appreciate,
