Thanks to those who helped me out with my cloth seat-cleaning question of a few days ago. This is a great group. I had no idea the covers could be removed for cleaning.
I've become intriqued about the idea of taking off the covers and washing them (gently) in a machine as several suggested. A followup question: How do I do it?
Do the seats themselves have to be removed (unbolted)? Besides the "don't neglect to remove the wire" tip are there other tips/suggestions from people who've done it?
Just for the heck of it I took a quick look at the front seat and, if there's a way to get the cover off, it wasn't immediately obvious to me. But considering the low cost and the effectiveness of this option, I'd be willing to devote a day to getting it done, since it's probably the only time I'll ever clean the things.
