Driver's power seat was taken all the way to the furthest rearward position; now the inboard side seems to be jammed when I try to bring it back forward again. I can't see anything in the track (pebble, wire, etc.), so I'm guessing there's a motor problem or a power transmission problem.
There is no problem raising and lowering the cushion, or adjusting the seatback angle. The only problem is bringing it forward. It tries to move the left side, but it's like the right side is stuck or bound; as soon as it starts moving on the left side, it starts binding on the right, and the left front corner starts moving to the right, then immediately it stops moving altogether.
Is there only one motor moving the seat cushion forward and backwards, or is there one for each side ? If there's one motor, is there an "axle" or something that transmits power to each track on the left and right ?
I have yet to try to remove the seat to get a better look underneath, but I'm interested in everyone's opinion before I unbolt it to have a look-see................
If anybody's already been there, I'm interested in your thoughts.
