Fuel level sender 700 1986

Is there a source for the fuel level sender only? It is a plastic clyinder shaped float chamber, not a lever style.

I've been looking around and can only seem to find the whole in-tank pump / fuel sender assembly sold as one unit. The assembly is around $350.

Can't bring myself to spend that much just to have a working gauge. I'd prefer new instead of used since it's kind of a pain to remove.

Any thoughts?
