Progressive performance problem resulting - radio suppressor work around? 200

My daughter's 88 240 (120K)began to bog down on hard acceleration. It would run fine then suddenly resist acceleration over 40 mph. Let sit a while, then all was fine. This went on for 2 months or so. Finally it did it when I drove it this last weekend. It would run fine under light acceleration but if I floored it, it would not go over 40. No tach but I think it had spark. It would then run fine if I let up and let it idle. Finally I decided to see if it would die completely if I didn't let up. It did and now won't run. It will start, run for a second, then die. I've had this car less than a year and had to do some maintenance on it when I got it. I have replaced both fuel pumps, wires, dist. cap and plugs and filters. I have changed out the TPS, fuel pressure regulator, and coil (from another b230 engine I have) cleaned the ground connections and checked for vacuum leaks. No change.
Anyone wire around the radio suppressor? Seems like that and the Hall sensor are about all that I can think of.
