While we are talking about paintjobs....I got to wondering about painting mine

I have an '88 240 that I have had for a coulple of years now. The hood and the trunk lid are quickly loosing their clearcoat. The roof is starting to go. Evert other part of the car is in good shape except the drivers fenders which has an ugly chip of paint missing. The body is in great shape with only a few door dings. I was originally thinking about just haveing the problems area's taken care of, but I'm almost now thinking that I would be better off with a complete repaint as I plain on keeping the car for a million plus miles and I would be consurned about color match.. I'm a college student, so I don't have an unlimited budget, but I would be willing to take off bumpers trim etc to get as good of results as possibe and save some money. I guess there is no way that a clear coat could be reapplied to my existing paint? What would you do if this was your car? The sides still look as good as they do in the picture. Who knows how long that will last though. Would you paint the whole car or just the problem areas? Anyone know of good places to have a car painted in Eugene Oregon, or in surrounding area?

Thank's and happy bricking.
