Help, '93 945T has died... (crank sensor?) 900

My car is a '93 945T and has been running just fine, until this morning. I had stopped at a grocery store to pick up some lunch, when I left the car started up fine. Then, when I was driving at ~ 5 or 10 mph in front of the store to get to the main road the car just died, while I was driving. I got it into a parking spot and tried to restart it, it will crank with no problems, but won't start. It's definately not the battery, there is plenty of juice to crank it over without any troubles.

It has ~ 135,000 miles. This past weekend (~ 90 miles ago) I had changed the engine oil, which had been normal oil, with a synthetic (Mobil 1) and a Mann filter from IPD.

Any ideas? It sounds like the crank sensor to me, but I thought the crank sensor wouldn't cause it to die while it was in gear and moving, only when you first try to start it up. Also, any chance that the synthetic after years of a normal oil has done something after 90 miles?

The car is still in a spot at the grocery store, I have until tomorrow morning to do something with it. If it's just the crank sensor I can just have it towed home and replace the crank sensor by this weekend, else I can have it towed from the grocery store to an import mechanic to have him check it out. Replacing the crank sensor by myself is obviously the cheaper option, I'm hoping and knocking on wood that that is all it is.

Thanks for your help!
