The paint on my 1991 745T is in great shape, and after a quick once (more like three times) over with Mother's 3-step polish/wax stuff it is literally blinding white in the mid-day Florida sun. However, when parked in a parking lot near other white cars, it is noticibly yellowish compared to most other "white" cars, which seem slightly bluish compared to the Volvo. Is this normal for Volvo "white?" Or should I get more of the Mother's Pre-Wax cleaner (1st step) and polish the daylights out of it to remove yellowish crud layer?
Should mention that I think the paint code is 189, but am not sure. Not sure because the page about reading the Vechile Information Plate at VLVworld.com provides no guidance for my plate. Where they say the paint code should be, I have AC3GC-5, which does not come close to any Volvo numeric paint code. The only panel on that plate that looks like a paint code on my car says "189 -21" which makes some sense as 189 is one of the codes for white.
