AC Switch range of motion? 200 1990

Hi,
I've got a new to us 90 240. The AC switch off position is about 12:00 and full-on is about 6:00. On the two 89's we've owned, the full on postion is around 8:00 or 9:00. Did the switch change or is there potentially a problem with the switch in our 90? It doesn't seem to be cold enough and I was wondering about this as a potential cause.
