Has the turbo died? 700 1984

My 84 760 seemed a little sluggish this morning but otherwise ran just fine. I noticed that the turbo indicator in the dash was no longer moving just staying in the same place as when the car is off. If the turbo has had it can I just drive it like this? I've spent a lot of money on this thing lately and I don't need a lot of power but if it's going to cause more damage I'd like to know.
