264 GLE info/owners

I picked up a 1981 264 GLE (96000 miles)in mint condition from a woman down on her luck, looking to make rent who had it on her driveway for 2 years. This is my 4th Volvo, and I'm as in love with this one as the other 3.

I'm looking for other 264 GL/GLE owners for maintenance info and general tips. I have a B28 engine, V6, and the mechanics cringe when they hear it (I had it in for new brakes and new alternator) I've done some research on the whole Soft Cams and the importance of keeping it maintained. What is the oil of choice and how many miles between changes? Can anyone recommend a good mechanic (besides Ackermann's) in the SF East Bay? And besides the soft cams, is there anything else I should know about?
