OD solenoid saga - part II 200

ok... so my friendly local mechanic verified that I have a dead OD solenoid... I picked up a used one for $50 and plan on putting the car on ramps and installing it tomorrow. I even have the angled 12MM wrench to reach up over the tranny. just one question.. do I need a gasket to install between the solenoid and tranny, or does this just bolt on with no gasket? any other installation tips would be helpful too.
