tracking down driveline vibration, where to start? 200 1986

'86 245,M-46 219k.I have a pretty good(bad)vibration under accelleration and want to fix it. I don't want to just start replacing parts.I was thinking of starting with the tranny mount.I have a tailshaft bushing kit for an automatic,is it the same for a manual trans? How about the center support bushing/bearing, does that cause vibration.Where to begin?
Thanks as usual,Phil
