sound insulation removal to access wiper jets

Hello All,

I'm attempting to replace windshield wiper jets but finding some difficulty removing the sound insulation carpet from under the hood.

The carpet seems to be fastened with two different plastic clips/screws. One type can be handled with a flat head even though they do not unscrew easily. I'm not sure about the other type, which seems to require a circular bit? Do these clips just pop out? Before I break any clips I thought I should check with others who have gone through this procedure.

Anyone gone through these procedure and have any tips?
