Hi all,
It's been awhile got some weird manual trans stuff going on. The car is a 1981 244 GL with M-46, which shifts ok for the most part, and the OD works fine.
The trouble is the noises its generating. Between shifts up to and over 2500 rpm it makes a deep vibration noise. If I'm cruising in a gear under 2000 RPM it seems to jerk and lurch , feels like its grabbing and letting go until I push down on the accelerator, does this in all gears. And at idle it makes a very annoying squeaky noise, and if I use the clutch to hold it still on a hill it sounds like the clutch area is full of steel marbles. So any ideas on what I'm up against? Is trans removal my only option here? Thanks as always for any help...
