Do I have a bad expansion oriface?? 900

I drove the wife's car when she got home - and I do not know that much about the oriface I mention - but it sounds like something is straining to get through (freon through the line) - hence the moaning I mentioned in a previous post.

It will rise and fall while driving with the air on - somewhat faint over on the passenger side of the engine bay. Then after you drive it for a few miles and shut the motor down with the air on - it almost sounds like an exaggerated bad fan that stops after a minute - but it not the heater fan.

Is that the expansion oriface? I have a bit of a wait till I can get the car to the shop - will it be OK till then?
