Adding CRUISE CONTROL to 88 740 Turbo wagon 700

I saw an item on ebay recently that was the turn-signal stick that includes cruise control. My current vehicle doesn't come with factory cruise control. How difficult would it be to upgrade it to cruise control? Is the turn-signal stick compatible with my year? What else would I need to accomplish?
