hot summer days causing 240 problems 200 1989

I have a 1989 240 DL automatic trans sedan w/ a few scratches, more dents and about 174k miles under the hood.

Drives fine most of the time but has problems starting on some hotter days. For as much as I can figure out, on thes hot starts there isn't any fuel getting pumped into the engine.

I wait a few hours and the car will start & run like nothing is wrong.

Can anyone give me an idea as to what might need to be fixed?

thanks
