My sunroof has becomed misaligned, and will only open (very crooked) in the vent position manually. The FAQ has some great tips, but I've run into a snag - every procedure in the FAQ hinges on pushing the sunroof headliner out of the way to diagnose the problem. But I can't for the life of me push it any further than halfway into the main headliner. It just won't go any further in. Pretty frustrating, since I can almost see the alignment mechanisms, but not quite.

Anyone had any success actually removing the sunroof headliner and then re-installing? Is this even possible? I'd like to get it out of there for cleaning, anyway.
