over drive / no drive ?? 1800 1970

Something new// Just had the tranny & overdrive out of car -- did the filter and all gaskets // bla bla bla ,,, well, today while in overdrive at about 65 going down hill , the over drive kinda kicked into neutral ????? Is that posable ?? It did more than 3 times..If I gave it the gas it would slam into 4th over// if I let off it would just coast... Anyone herd of this before ???
