What are the improvements and or major differences between the 1988 and 1989 B230F (non-turbo) motors??? 700

Greetings!

Does anyone know of any differences between the 88 and 89 B230 non-turbo motors?
Also in general with regard to other features and or designs. Are the rear axles the same. Which is the better motor of the 2?
