The end of the ABS saga! 700 1988

Hi y'all!

At last I found the fault on my ABS system. As usual, the it was all due to me not being thorough enough when troubleshooting.
I began by measuring the output voltage of the two front sensors using an ordinary digital multimeter. The output was roughly the same, ie 300-500mV. Therefore, I assumed they were both OK. After cleaning both sensors, and still getting a nice tan from the ABS lamp I decided to hook up my oscilloscope and see the quality of the signals. And there it was, the right front sensor didn't output anything at all, but 50Hz hum (probably from the scope). Therefore I measured the resistance of the faulty sensor and found out that it was infinite.
With a lighter wallet and a new sensor on place, the ABS works perfectly now.
Conclusion, always measure the resistance of the sensors. The high input impedance of the DVM fooled me completely. Don't let it fool you!
