I have been trying to defeat the dreaded code 232,so far I have resealed the intake manifold and injectors, cleaned throttle body, adjusted throttle switch, replaced O2 sensor(oem type),fuel pressure regulator, and AMM.The code still comes back after resetting the system. This car has the b234 engine,I checked for possbible vauum leaks at the accessorie and brake booster ports and purge controll solenoid and everything is tight.
I checked the block sensor resistance-cold engine approx 60 degree temp 2.8k ohms and 200 ohms at 200 degrees engine temp, voltage at sensor(harness side disconnected)4.8 volts on one terminal and 5.10 volts at other terminal.
I can unhook the FPR vacuum source and around 15" is present at intake manifold and O2 responds to a rich and lean condition when I install and remove the vacuum hose from the FPR unit. The engine feels lean at idle at times, cold engine seems ok untill you use light throttle.
I don't a have a "known" good fuel ecm to try but I'm going to replace the fuel filter and check valve next, this car has 170k miles on it and most of the components are original so they could use replacement anyways.Any imput is appreciated.
