Hi Everyone,

I just bought an '89 740 16 valve and can't get the darn thing to rev past 1500 rpm. I had to replace the main fuel pump when I bought it ( with a used 240 pump) to make it run at all. I also replaced the intank pump today. When I pull the #11 intank prepump fuse, the car doesn't run any different. The prepump seems to be getting power. Could I have a bad fuel pressure regulator? Also, when I unplug the AMM, the car won't start at all. I thought it would make it run the default rich setting. The plugs are also staying wet. Any ideas? I greatly appreciate any suggestions that anyone might have.
