Following are excerpts from an email sent to VCOA's keeper of the Flathood Registry:

Sometimes I visit junkyards in hopes of finding interesting parts to re-sell.

Sadly, yet fortuitously, last week I found an honest-to-goodness 1983 242T "Flathood" homologation special at a junkyard.

It was in pretty bad shape, which makes me sad. There wasn't much worth salvaging. About the only thing was the grille, which I purchased.

But, I was wise enough to get the pertinent information, before all was lost to the world. I send it to you for your records:
