M41 and J type OD separation. 1800

Recently I purchased a B20 with a M41 and J type OD on it. The OD seems to have been left in the "on" mode. Now the spline will not turn, so I know the pressure is on in there. I gave the solinoid a couple of jolts of 12 volts, but it did not release. I can't get it to shift either.
Any ideas on how I can get the pressure to release so I can separate the units.
