Overdrive On and Won't Always Turn Off 200 1993

Experiencing an intermittant problem with OD. When vehicle is started, the OD light is on and cannot be turned off when button on shift lever is actuated. After a few miles of driving it sometimes will disengage when button is actuated. What could be happening and how do I fix on this 240. Thanks.

'95 945 Turbo (106K) and Now a '93 240 (98K) Added to the Fleet.
