So I'm working at a camp in Michigan again this summer, and have little time to work on the ol' beast. I'm hoping some folks can give me some good ideas for starting points to look at for this. The problem is that I have a big thud coming from the rear that happens once for every tire rotation, but only when I'm not accellerating or braking. If I'm accellerating or braking, the thudding is gone. The thud is loud and bothersome and it creates a shake in the whole car. I can't feel any shaking through the brake pedal, so I doubt it's brake related. Could this be a wheel bearing? U-joint? I'm just not quite sure where to start looking or how to diagnose which specific part it is, and I have very limited time to do this. Any guesses? thanks, as always,
Nate Gundy
