Better throttle response after cleaning EGR & replacing Breather Box? 900 1991

1994 945T 131k miles.

Cleaned the throttle body (wasn't really dirty), cleaned the EGR valve and associated plumbing, and replaced the oil trap/breather box this weekend. Oh, and I changed the oil...

Every since doing these things the car seems to have a better response when I push the peddle, namely the turbo seems to kick in faster and with more ooomph. Can anyone explain why this may be? I'm not sure how plugged up the original breather box was/is but my theory is that the new box is allowing the engine to breath easier through the PCV hose that runs between the top of the breather box and the air intake.

Any guesses? Maybe it's just my imagination, installing new parts usually gives me these "better running" feelings. :)

Thanks,
Bean
