Swapping AMM and ECU 200 1991

I am trying to diagnose a faulty AMM (Has been tested on a multi-meter)and or ECU.I am SURE that I have no wiring problems as I tested all inputs on ECU harness and all checked out to spec per Bentley as well as replacing the RPM sensor. I am planning on swapping out the components from a known good car. Do I run a risk of frying the AMM if I have an ECU related problem? Also, Can I fry other components (Fuel and Ignition ECU) by swapping? Thanks again...
