My 740 overheated yesturday, and I found that the plastic neck was cheaked and collant rushed out of the top hose.
Top radiator hose clamp was over-tightened, cracking plastic neck outlet. Some coolant was pumped out and the engine temp gauge showed overheating.
I managed to turn off the car and temporary fixed the hose and refilled with coolant. I drove the car for about 5 more min and the temp gurage was fine.
I plan on changing the water valve and doing a dye test. Any suggestions on checking for head gasket issue?
Thanks
Michael
