Transporting kayaks 200 1987

This was discussed a while back. As I hadn't started the paddling season yet I didn't have any pictures, so I didn't respond at the time. If anyone's still interested, let me say I am very happy with my Thule system. For paddling the local waters I just use the two straps that hold the kayak to the kayak brackets. They take the shape of the hull and locks, so the kayak fits very snugly. For longer trips at high speed I use a rope from the bow to the towing hook for additional security, but I can't really say it is necessary.
