Power Stage Module - 89 740 GL Turbo

Last week I found my 740 was cranking but won't start. Took it to a mechanic of fairly good reputation and he kept it for three days. I was there in the first "look" at the situation and after 10 minutes was told there was "no spark." Three days later, I was told the car was fixed and it was the "power stage module," which was replaced. Cost $116.00 for the PSM and 195.00 labor @ 65.00 per hour.)

Question? Does this sound like a fair deal? I realize it's subjective, but my query really is; given the symptoms and the ease of which to make the replacement, does the three hours deal with the "experimentation" to "find the fix" because of the mechanic's lack of familiarity of the vehicle, or would a person more familar with Swedish Bricks have found the solution sooner.

I'll appreciate your opinion(s).
