So this "new" '89 245 that I bought has working A/C. Pure luxury! I'm used to sweating out the summers in the old brick, not wanting to spend the money on overhauling the nonfunction A/C. When I test drove the new car the A/C blew cold, but it was a relatively mild day in the high 70s at the most. Today it was near 90 (and much more humid) and I thought the A/C wasn't as cold as it was on the test drive. Is this typical? Per the repair receipts the A/C was overhauled in 2001. How often should the A/C be "charged?" Any other helpful hints on mainting the A/C? Also, the fan continues to blow slightly after I've turned it off, which is annoying. Any ideas of where the origin of that problem may be? Or is this typical?
Thanks much!
