This idler bushing is for the later cars: Idler bushing. My question is, is the newer one bigger or smaller than the old one? I think the bushing is the culprit in my case, and i have a 68 car, which would have the earlier bushing. I currently have a bushing from iPd in there, but the idler arm is really loose. My shop said that i need a new idler arm assembly, but i think it might just be the bushing now that i hear it is common for iPd to have the wrong ones in stock or whatever.

I got my latest ebay purchase last week and took out the carbs and stuff and it looks exactly as pictured. He described that it comes with an extra SOLEX? carb, but the one i received looks just like the others and says SU on it. Hopefully now that I have 5 HIF6s(well, i think the other one is a HIF6, it has internal floats...) I might be able to use the extras as cores or something for a discount when i get Rhys to rebuild them. I'll shoot him an email soon here. My WEBER is seriously pissing me off, the highway trip last night was QUITE annoying, let me tell you. I bet my highway mileage, even with the 4spd will go up 3-4 mpg and a slight increase in around town mileage too when i get something that works on there. Another thing i found were the SPACERS! in between the carbs and manifold, they look to be like the "phenolic" spacers, but they aren't as thick as the ones pictured on GRM's 122. They seem to be an extremly dense, light, plasticish material. Can't really explain them. Are they phenolic spacers???
