I'm looking to make my own header/turbo manifold for my 142, and I wanted to see if anyone already has some flanges sitting on a shelf or knows where one could be. It would save me the time of tracing out the flange and paying for a one-off flange at the local water jet shop.
I tried emailing v-performance, he replied saying they don't make their headers and suggested I buy a used one somewhere. Didn't give me the name of the shop that makes them for him, and didn't offer to acquire a flange for me either, kinda erked me a little. If it's not worth your time to sell me just a flange pluse 5 bucks or so for the trouble, you could at least give me the number for the shop so I could ask them if they'd sell me a flange.
The other option is to use a stock cast manifold and hack a t3 flange off a volvo cast manifold and weld it on to the chopper stock manifold. The main concern here is welding cast iron, and not having enough freedom to mount the turbo in a good location.
