My Vovlo V90 wagon gets REALLY BAD gas mileage S90-V90 1998

Can anyone help?

I have a '98 v90 wagon that all of a sudden gets approximately 16mpg on the highway. That means I only get about 300 miles on 18 1/2 gallons of gas. I took it to the dealer in Santa Monica and they stiffed me for $2000.00 and didn't fix the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be causing such poor mileage? Thanks for your help. -Dan
