Volvo Voo-Doo Doo-Doo TWO 900 1993

Greetings,

I am respectfully placing one last post before I seriously consider turning the Volvo into an anchor and buying a VW.

Based on excellent and helpful advice for which I am truly grateful, I have:

Uncovered and reconnected all major grounds with appropriate vigor thanks to LaRy.

Replaced Fuel Pump Relay and Regulator, Throttle Switch. This after re-solder did not fix.

Made sure we have gas flow and spark. Even sprayed Carburetor Cleaner Down Air Intake to see if it would fire, but it would not.

Discovered onboard diagnostic unit thanks to Alan N. Ran Tests and read codes as per instructions at the BRICKYARD on-line and came up with everything normal – I even had a “normal” auto mechanic guy help me and only got 1-1-1 and no error codes.

Checked Radio Suppression Relays and switched connectors – result was fan came on and radio would not…. and still would not start….

I am wondering if any one would comment on the above or the following:

Is it possible somehow the timing belt slipped and is causing this problem?

Even though there was no diagnostic code fault for it, should I maybe replace the RPM sensor?

Maybe I have missed some essential and fundamental step?

There are not many old volvos lying around the island for spare parts or even old volvo mechanics for that matter and the shipping rate for parts is killing me and so it goes.

I want to once again thank everyone but since I don't want to really give up on on the vehicle I hope some insighful person will give me a further clue.

Maholo Nui Loa
