Remove 93 R134 system to replace 89 R12 200 1989

Has anyone pulled the evaporator out or a 93? Understand it may be difficult as 240's were assembled around heater a/c core. Any short cuts? Chris suggested in earlier reply to just go out and buy a new evaporator and forget the headache of taking one out of a 93. Does Volvo conversion kit really work. Have experienced 240 R12 system since 81 model and it's a piece of crap. Have had 4 89's and none worked well even with new parts. Can't imagine it working any better with a Volvo R134 conversion kit. Realize electrical harnesses are different between 89 and 93 but have access to wrecked 93 and have time to pull the whole thing out including individual wires/relays for condensing fan and low pressure switch etc. See earlier post of 6/18 @ 15:55. Thank you Chris for insightful reply. I'm all ears. TIA Steve
